Let’s Share Happiness with Others on this International Day of Happiness!

A few days ago, we talked about how we can stay being positive during hard times. However, during these very challenging times, we are not the only person that needs to be positive—to be happy—but everyone around us too. For that reason, let’s talk about how we can share happiness with other people!

You never know how hard a person’s day is, especially in this challenging time. Now, if you want to share happiness with others, there is one simple way to do so: greet people with a smile on your face. Why, you ask? The reason is simple. Sometimes, people feel unnoticed. And with you greeting them—and giving them a bright smile—they will feel that they matter.

Give compliments to others

Another easy way to share happiness is by complimenting others. However, it is very important to note that the compliments you are giving them are sincere. You can give them straightforward compliments, or you can give them a surprise note anonymously. Doing so will definitely put a big smile on their face.

Listen—and really listen

Our third way to share happiness is something that is easier said than done. Most of the time, we are listening to people with the goal to reply to their stories. However, sometimes they would not need that. Instead, what they need is someone to really listen to their story with full attention. By doing so, you might be able to see them in a different light.

Learn new skills—and teach it to others!

There is a saying that goes like this:

“If you are good at something, never do it for free.”

It is not a wrong saying, however it certainly would not be helpful if your goal is to share happiness with other people. Tap into your inner altruism, and teach what you can do to other people. You will not lose anything, and you will instead gain people that will trust you because you teach them something.

Be kinder to yourself

Yes, you read it right. We are talking about how to share happiness with other people, and yet our 4th point is to be kind to yourself. However, it is true. By treating yourself better, you will start treating other people with more kindness too. And if you ask us, there is nothing better to be treated with kindness by other people.

Do small acts of kindness

We have talked about small acts of kindness before, and now we are going to practice it. You do not have to be a millionaire to help people and put a big smile on their face. Instead, you can do it simply by holding the door open for someone else, or giving up your seat for a pregnant woman.

Tell people about your gratitude

Our last tips on how to share happiness with other people is the easiest to say, but really hard to do—especially in the modern world where your position dictates how you act toward other people. But believe it or not, saying how much you appreciate other people’s help will have a very great effect on them.

Now that you know some of our tips on how to share happiness with others, what are you waiting for? While you cannot really go out there and compliment strangers on the street, you can still at least do it online!
